Looking forward to a great future...

with this great family! I had a blast shooting them and the surroundings were just beautiful. I love the Myriad makes the perfect background. This family will be welcoming a new addition TODAY!!!! Little Ava should be here or on the way as I type this out. I pray for a safe delivery and good health to her and her mommy! So in a couple of weeks, I'll have some newborn shots to share of her!! She will be just perfect I know! Can't wait to hear how you are doing Kate!!!

Then and now...

and still hugging little brother:) What a great big bro little "A" will be...he was so cooperative and understanding when it was just little brother's turn for pictures. I adore this family and can't wait to see baby brother grow up to be like his cute as can be big brother. I just hope they are in the United States long enough!! If not, I'm sure mom will keep me updated with photos! Hint, hint, Mellissa!

Trying to catch up!

I'm going to try to post at least one new blog a day until I get caught up. Some of the shoots I'll be posting are from a month ago! Crazy, but busy times and an unexpected surgery put me way behind...So enjoy my work from the last month and as always comments are welcome:)

I've posted a scary photo of myself...excuse the hair and lack of any makeup. I think this was taken 3 days after my eye looks great here compared to the day after!

Hope your holidays were blessed with family, fun and love!

Tired of sleeping babies?

Not me...not ever. I just adore them and the sweet faces they make while they are in dreamland! I was so thrilled to get to use my miniature stool with little Ms. Corbyn. She was just the right size and looks oh so comfy! She was a great baby and very content. She even gave me some precious wide eye looks!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I hope you all enjoy your day where ever you are. Eat lots of good food, watch a little football, play games with the kids, but most importantly just enjoy your special time with your family and friends! Christmas is a great day for creating go create!

Just a short eye is almost looking back to normal...yay! Still some ways to go with the internal healing process, but I can tell the surgery fixed my more week of lying on my right side! Thanks to everyone for their well wishes and prayers. It really means a lot to me!

Merry Christmas to everyone and for those of you traveling during this time, be safe!

An unplanned happening...retina surgery...

Hi everyone. Just a quick update and a not so good one. On Thursday, I had an appointment with a retina specialist because I was having a curtain like effect on the nasal side of my left eye. Well, my worst fear was confirmed by Dr. Hubbard and Dr. retina had detached. Some of you may remember that in April of 2006, I had a detached retina, but in my right eye. I had what was called scleral buckle surgery. For that surgery I was asleep and the recovery went pretty well.

For the latest surgery, it was not so pleasant. They kept me at the office and performed it there. I was awake the whole time and don't recommend it ever. I won't go into details, but I don't wish this upon was awful and I am now sporting a majorly swollen eye that is nice and bruised. The procedure they did was called pneumatic retinopexy and laser/cryo-surgery. If you click on the procedures, you can read more about it if you are curious.

For the next two weeks, I am to lay down on my right side as much as possible to push the bubble up against the wall of the retina. Not fun especially when I am a left side sleeper.

Anyway, I wanted to somewhat update everyone on what was going on with me. My blogging unfortunately, will have to be put aside along with many other things. My Christmas cards were only half addressed and half some of you may receive your Christmas card after Christmas! For somone who clearly depends on her eyes for her profession and passion, I'm sure you can understand the stress and seriousness of this.

I hope you all have a super holiday! I hope to be back to picture taking early to mid January...not sure if that is doable...but I have my follow up appointment with my doctor on January 2nd.

Another of life's sweet...

miracles! This beautiful couple is expecting a little fun! They brought along big sis too and she hammed it up for the camera. I knew I just had to use my "new" cowgirl doll when I saw her! Isn't she just the sweetest? Those dimples are to die for! What a gorgeous and fun family they are!

One of my fave families...

and we had a great least I did. I have watched little sister change so much...she has really come out of her shell. She used to be so shy and now she is so independent and grown up for a 2 year old. She was absolutely cracking me up and I think we can thank big bro for teaching her some cool tricks! How many two year olds can cross their eyes? Mom and bro had no idea she was doing it, but knew something was up b/c I about lost it! It was hilarious and surprised me when she did it! What a cutie even when she makes a goofy face:)

A touch of class...

and beauty and brains and one very pretty girl who my camera loved! I just loved her choice to wear the trench coat...perfect with the scarf for this time of year and believe me, it was needed. It was a tad chilly:) After OU, we headed back to the studio for more shots! I took a you blame me?

Love is definately...

in the air! I was so blessed to take Greg and Kelly's engagement photos. Last year around this time I took Kelly and her two besties from college pics on the OU campus and Kelly was kind enough to ask me to do more work for her! I was very flattered because they drove up from Dallas for the shoot. We started on the OU campus (where they met!) and then went to the duck pond to take advantage of the beautiful colors. As you see in the photos this couple is crazy in love and it was so refreshing to watch them express it! Not only are they gorgeous individuals on the outside, it's their inside that touched me! Thanks guys:)

Shy but oh so...

sweet! It's funny how a hat or something familiar that the child loves can make them come out of their shell. Once mom put this adorable black hat on this little one, she became a new little girl! She was cracking us up and she gave me some absolutely adorable expressions! And I love, love, love the dress mom had picked out for cute:)

Beautiful girl plus beautiful gardens =

beautiful photos! The color in the background and Ms. S's clothing choices just were perfect together! Doesn't she have the best hair? And her eyes are killer! We had a great time walking around the gardens and then into Bricktown for more. We then came back to my studio to finish the session off. The girl doesn't take a bad photo! Beautiful!
