Happy Halloween!

Oh how I love my parents and their willingness to do anything to bring smiles to their grandchildren's faces. This was year two of them dressing up so they could send out Halloween cards. We didn't spend more than $15 on the costumes...not bad! I already can't wait for next year's shoot! Enjoy and Happy Halloween!

A fun, colorful field...

of flowers or weeds...whatever they are, they were the perfect background for these two beautiful children. They were braver than me, rummaging through the tall grass and surprisingly, very few stickers! I was challenged some by the light in the last few photos, but was pretty happy with how they turned out. Thanks to these two little ones for the great exercise and fun! And thanks to their mom for finding such a fun location! Enjoy :)

Love...

A title as simple as "Love" because that is the one word I truly witnessed throughout this session. This couple is just beautiful together. You can feel their love, see their love and enjoy their love. It shows you that at any time in your life you can find that someone special, you can rediscover love, and how if feels to be loved again. Congrats Diana and Tom...you are truly an amazing couple! Enjoy.

Three Month Sleeping Sweetie...

Isn't she just perfect? Little Ms. Lana is 3 months in these photos and slept better than most newborns. It really wasn't the plan for the shoot, but when she dozed off, we took advantage of it! I think she is just beautiful and I cannot wait until our 6 month session :) Enjoy!

Little Miss M...

is one of my clients who is not a big smiler. In fact, her mother has told me this to make me feel better just in case I don't get any smiles out of her in our sessions together. She is just a content little girl and in my opinion, smile or no smile, a complete dollface! Even her sad lip pictures are to die for! What a sweetheart she is:) Enjoy!

Two Year Old Twins...

and cute ones at that! When I saw these two boys, my heart just melted. Those eyes of theirs are just stunning. These little guys are so energetic, curious and just plain fun! I was so thrilled to see the outfits that mom put together for the family shots. I love color :) And the last shot cracks me up...you can definitely see their energy there! Enjoy their cuteness!

Family Time at OU...

and what a great family and beautiful children. I just adore the shot of Andrew and his parents. What a great moment. He was a little pistol, but he has that very lovable, cuddly side to him. Miss Reese is such a cutie in her OU outfit and last but not least big brother! All I can say is he is definitely going to be fighting the ladies off when he gets older. Enjoy!

The waiting is over...Nolan Madden

Baby Nolan has arrived and he is one gorgeous baby boy. I had to repost some of their maternity shots, so you can see just how beautiful this little guy will grow up to be. I had so much fun during this shoot. I tried some new props and took advantage of my wood floors again and I love the results.

The 4x8 birth announcement and 8x10 collage are custom designed to match little Nolan's nursery. What great colors. We just happened to get lucky that the props we used matched. I hope you enjoy looking at this little bundle of sweetness. I know I could look at him all day long. Enjoy!

Kort, Kayla and Kent...prayers needed

This family is very dear to me. On Sept. 6th, I received an email from Kayla that their little guy, Kort, was diagnosed with Pre-B Acute Lympocytic Leukemia. As I read her email, I felt as if I had been punched in the stomach. I can't imagine how as parents they felt when they heard this news.

He has been going through chemo and other treatments for this horrible disease and I'm happy to say he is in remission. His struggle is far from over and he is still receiving chemo. When Kayla and Kent found out, they were told this would be about a 3 year process, so there is still a long road ahead.

I knew I wanted to do something, so I offered to take some photos of Mr. Kort before he lost his hair. So I spent some time with him and his family just capturing some candid moments. The following day, they decided to have his head shaved to forego the pain that is caused by the clumping and falling out.

I will continue to photograph little superman Kort throughout his battle. I just know he is going to thrive and get stronger and beat it! He is truly a trooper as are his wonderful mom and dad! Below is a pic of Kort on his new bed surrounded by all of his furry friends and holding his chemo duck. What a sweet face! Please keep this family in your prayers even if you don't know them! Thanks :)
